Yummy! Asparagus is now in season where I live and I just LOVE it! Here is a new recipe I came up with and the hubby and I love it! Ingredients: 1 small onion chopped 1 handful bunch of asparagus chopped 4 red potatoes sliced 1 quart chicken bone broth 1 can coconut milk, cream removed 1 tsp garlic 1/2 tsp smoked paprika 1/4 tsp oregano 2 tbsp butter 1 tbsp arrow root powder Chop up onions and asaparagus and add them to a stock put on medium high heat with butter. Satuee until onions are soft. Add spices Add potatoes and mix together well Next add your chicken broth & coconut milk. I remove the cream to make ice cream with later :) Let boil until potatoes are soft When potatoes are soft... Add arrowroot powder. Tip! Mix arrow root powder in a little water first to make sure it doesn't clump up! Now turn off the heat and let it sit with the lid on for a few minutes! After it has sat for a few minutes, dish it out and garnish with sour cream or coconut cream! Enjoy! We added some saracha to it as well! ![]() Baby wearing has totally saved my life (possibly my marriage) when it comes to running a business & having a newborn! The first time I put my son in a carrier, it was a moby wrap. He loved it! We got great skin to skin action & it was nice to have my hands free in the first couple of weeks! Now that my husband has gone back to work, things get a little ... well .. crazy. My son is breast-fed and drinks straight from the tap! Whenever I sit down to type up something for the website, Facebook, or try to make products-- he suddenly decides that he needs to nurse.. and hell hath no fury like a hungry Ezra. The moby wrap was great & still is, but I was honestly getting tired of the whole wrap thing while he screamed his head off haha.. plus I wanted to be able to cradle him & I was having a difficult time doing that in the Moby Wrap. So I started looking into other carriers or wraps & decided I wanted a ring sling. I bought one that was linen and it did alright but it wasn't as comfortable as I wanted it to be. Then I tried my friend, Michelle's woven ring sling and died of comfort! She told me about this shop on etsy called Bibetts (I love to use etsy! Fellow small businesses like myself!) and to check it out. I got on and talked to the shop owner-- who got back with me really fast-- which I love because I get easily distracted and will forget about what I really wanted ! I asked if she could make a woven wrap conversion with a gathered shoulder instead of the pleats. She said sure & sent me a link to order one! I ordered it and got it 4 days later! ![]() When I got my sling in the mail I was quite excited! My son and I had a rough day.. and I mean rough lol! I put on the ring sling and we were off ! He had such a bad day that he cried the first time in it! Day 2 was much better though! We put him in the sling and he was smiling and looking at his pictures on the wall.. (yes my son is a huge fan of artwork on the walls!) I also babysat my friend's baby today so the sling came in handy! Oh and did I mention how soft this thing is?? Super soft & comfortable for me and my son! He fell asleep as I was typing this review up! ![]() Like I said above, the wrap is super soft but it is very strong! I have no worries about my son falling out of it of him not being properly supported in it! It is also amazing because I can just do my work while he sleeps happily or looks around! Oh and the design of the sling is just a plus! Bibetts has lots of BEAUTIFUL wraps/slings in their store! I may be buying more just because I love them! sshhh don't tell my hubby! So what you should do right now is head on over to Bibetts' store and buy yourself an awesome sling! Like I said above... baby wearing has saved my sanity, life, and possibly my marriage in the early months of becoming a new mom... it might just save yours!
