Beachbody is a company that has been around for a while. They are known for the at home workout programs such as Insanity, P90X, and 21 Day Fix, just to name a few. This company has made it a fun and exciting way for people to get fit, learn to eat clean, and help other's do so in their community (whether that community is online or close to home). I had been asked for years, since I work in the health and wellness "industry" if I would join Beachbody. When you join Beachbody, you can become a coach. When you become a coach, you get 25% off of retail prices and you have the opportunity to make money, if you choose to take it.There is no mandatory training, but there are some training options. For YEARS and I mean YEARS, I would kinda laugh when people would ask me to join. Coaches would add me on Instagram or Facebook and tell me how much they would love me to be on their team. I was usually offended. I felt like people were calling me fat or insinuating that I wasn't doing a good job with the healthy lifestyle I was living. I felt like my education was being insulted. Why would I join a health and wellness company when I have ALL this training and schooling behind me that most people who join don't have?? The only thing that made me give Beachbody a second look was Shakeology. I was always interested in it because I couldn't find anything "wrong" with it. I had researched it quite a few times over and concluded that it is the real deal. I just never put the money towards buying it for myself. Before my son was born, I was content going to the gym, lifting weights, and following the easy routine I had for myself. I had planned to follow that once he was born... Then my son was born..... I hadn't taken into account the fact that there would be days that he was teething and just needed to cuddle. Or the fact that my husband's work schedule made it difficult to get to the gym. Or the fact that I would have a rough birth leaving me sore for months... Let's talk about the soreness from birth... -- I couldn't sit cross legged without terrible pain in my pelvic and ahem.. vaginal regions. My muscles would cramp up causing some serious pain. -- Sex was practically out of the question because it hurt so bad. -- My hips were sore ALL the time. So when my cousin joined Beachbody, I thought about getting PiYO. My son had gone through an almost 2 week growth spurt at 6 1/2 months. Between 6 and 7 months of age he gained 7 pounds which was a huge jump for him. I was waking up in the morning feeling exhausted and like it was time to go back to bed. I was drinking Love & Peas Protein Shakes but felt like I needed something a little bit more. I finally took the plunge and got PiYO, I did it for 3 days and noticed that it didn't hurt to sit cross legged anymore... I then joined Beachbody as a coach-- if nothing more than to get 25% off of future products. I also ordered Shakeology and anxiously waited for it's arrival. On Day 10, I started to notice some changes in my physique. My diet hadn't changed, other than I was making a bigger attempt to drink more fluids. My Shakeology arrived on Day 10 as well-- I had gotten Vanilla.. my goodness I loved it. I have always been kind of a vanilla snob & really enjoyed it with coconut milk & some ice. My husband started to notice changes in my booty around day 13-- which made me feel like a million bucks. I also started a Challenge Group for some friends I know and some mamas who I knew who were having a tough time recovery physically from birth. PiYO wasn't too intense and it came with lots of modifications which made it much easier to do if you are starting out. The Challenge Group had 4 active girls. One was a new momma the other three were good friends of mine. I found that the challenge group was a great way for me to share my wealth of knowledge about nutrition with people who are actually valuing it and applying it to their lives. For the first time in a long time, I don't feel like my knowledge is falling on deaf ears. By Day 15, I started feeling sexy... and learned that sex wasn't hurting much anymore. My chiropractor noticed my hips weren't as tight and I was holding my adjustments better. I also noticed that my obliques were starting to show up again. For some reason, my obliques always made me feel sexy. Every woman has that one part of their body that makes them feel sexy, mine is my obliques. Somewhere around Day 30, I saw my pre-Ezra jeans in my closet. I love those jeans. I paid about $100 for them at The Buckle. I never paid so much for an item of clothing, but I bought them back when I lost 35 pounds (about 3 years ago) as my "reward". I had kept them in hopes that one day I would be able to wear them again, but knew that it probably wouldn't happen since I had lost my baby weight but my hips had just kinda changed. I thought, what the heck, and tried them on... Low and behold they buttoned with ease. I did notice that they are tighter in the butt than they were before, probably because I have some "booty" now that I didn't have when I first bought them. But the jeans fit comfortably now which makes me feel awesome. I lost 4 inches total but didn't lose any "weight"-- just toned up. I love the PiYO program & would recommend it to probably anyone. It has helped me feel stronger. BUNS seriously kicks my butt.. Oh my quad!! Sweat will seriously leave you sweaty. Upper Body & Lower Body are great to start out on. Drench will leave you, well Drenched hah!! My favorite part of the program is CORE. It really helps you to develop your core without leaving you feeling overworked or overtired. Each of these have awesome modifications for if you are a beginner or moderate or advanced! I am going to be hosting another challenge group in November! I require people to buy a Challenge Pack of their choosing! In my challenge groups you get access to my awesome wealth of nutritional knowledge, a sense of community, support, and freedom.
