During the amazing time of breast feeding-- many moms look into foods that will promote healthy lactation & give themselves a little bit more milk.
There are tons of lactation cookie & brownie recipes on pinterest, but when I was looking into eating healthy versions of lactation "snacks", I couldn't find too many-- so I decided to come up with some of my own!
These are really yummy and are the real deal! I produce tons of milk right now!
Banana Coconut Lactation Cups:
1 Banana (overripe)
2 Cups Gluten Free Oats (Old Fashioned Oats)
2-3 Tbsp Flaxseed
1 Cup Dried Coconut
1/4 Cup (4Tbsp) Brewer's Yeast
1/4 Cup Honey (I used Raw)
1/4 Cup Peanut Butter (I make my own with just peanuts)
1/2 Cup Coconut Oil
Opt -- 2-3 Tbsp chopped dates
- In a large pan, melt coconut oil, honey, peanut butter, and mashed banana together- mix until they are smooth.
-Add in the rest of the ingredients
-Place in muffin liners or put in a pan that is lined with parchment paper.
-Keep in the refrigerator !
