Diy body wrap

Okay so I do body wraps and this is a great way to lose a few inches for a day or so. Now body wraps won't make you lose weight forever, but they are a good temporary fix and a great way to help your body detox. I do one a week or one every two weeks.

So here is my step by step:
  1. Start by running a hot bath with 1 cup of peroxide, 1 cup Epsom salts, 2 Tbsp ground ginger,  and 1 cup of baking soda.
  2. Sit in the bath for about 20-30 minutes
  3. You will sweat like crazy- so be sure to have a bottle of water or two while you are in the bath.
  4. I always have a 1 liter bottle of water that I finish while I am in the bath.
  5. When you get out of the bath, pat yourself dry
  6. If you have a heated mattress pad or a heated blanket- turn it on to preheat.
  7. If you have a clay mask on hand, put it on your trouble areas, like your belly, sides, butt.
  8. Next take saran wrap and wrap it around your legs, stomach, butt, and arms- make sure you have a pretty good amount of layers of this.
  9. Next I put on a big hoodie and really baggy pants
  10. Then I crawl into my bed and cover myself with about 4 blankets
  11. Now turn on a tv show that is 30-45 minutes long and watch it
  12. You will feel warm- even hot
  13. Once your time is up, slowly go to the bathroom and get a luke warm shower running
  14. Now take off the saran wrap- it will probably be wet since you will be sweating.
  15. Finally get in the shower and wash yourself off! Take it easy for the next few hours and drink more water!

I am going to be doing another craft show soon! I came up with a new soap that is great for you when you are sick and congested. It is $2- if you are interested please let me know!

I made some goat's milk and almond oil soap, hard lotion bars, and awesome lip balm! My lip balms have finally been corrected and everyone will love them!!

Here are some quick tips when you are sick:
  • If you are coughing a lot when you try to sleep- rub some eucalyptus on your feet, some eucalyptus hard lotion bar on your feet, or VICS.
  • Try showering with Healthy By Choice's just breathe soap click here
  • Take a hot detoxing bath- 2 tbsp ginger, 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup Epsom salts, and some essential oils.
  • Drink some detoxing water- 2 Liters of water, 1 granny smith apple sliced, and 3 cinnamon sticks- let it sit overnight drink up
  • Make some hot honey water- 1 cup water warmed, 1 tbsp honey, and half a squeezed lemon
  • Wrap yourself in a warm blanket- even if you sweat- it is good for you
  • Tea tree oil in your water that you wash your face with
  • Stand over some boiling water
  • 2 words- herbal tea
  • Tiger balm works well to help clear your sinuses
  • Press underneath your eyes above your cheeks- it may hurt but it will help release the sinuses
  • Boil 1/4 cup grated ginger, 2 cups water, 4 cloves garlic, 1 lemon, and a tablespoon of honey- it doesn't taste good but it will cure your cold.
  • Try the 7 day detoxing diet
  • When all else fails- make some chicken noodle soup...

7 day diet- Day 1- continued

So like I said earlier, I craved a hamburger. I'm not craving one anymore-- THANK GOD!

My sister made that chicken and it looked so good. I did cheat and had A BITE of it. Just one.. I promise!

Then I ate about half of a watermelon and one individual size of freeze dried fruit (strawberries and bananas).

So my menu for today what I ate:

Breakfast:

Peaches

Lunch:

Apple

Snack:

Strawberries

Dinner:

half seedless watermelon

individual freeze dried fruit

what to drink? water :) with some lemons :)

Temptations were really hard for me today. I really wanted to eat two chicken legs, mashed potatoes, and broccoli-- ya know more of an average meal. I had one bite and I am kicking myself for it. My sister in law and my sister, China, think that I should just give up on the diet for the weekend and just start again Monday when I am not at the craft show-- but what kind of health coach would I be then?

I packed a healthy veggie lunch for tomorrow... yes tomorrow is all veggie day. Baked potato for breakfast and then the rest of the day veggies (canned, steamed, raw, roasted, grilled, whatever). I am telling myself I can do this. Carnivals and big public places are hard and full of temptations. I mean I sit there and smell the disgusting oil of the fryers, cider donuts, apple pies, ugh! Everything that really isn't too good for you. I normally follow the 90-10 method which is eating right 90% of the time and 10% of the time eat not so healthy- like eat a cookie or something lol.

Alrighty well good night everyone! I look forward to blogging to y'all tomorrow.

7 day diet- trying it our for all of you!

Hello everyone! I thought I would share with everyone this 7 day detoxing
diet! I have had a few emails via facebook and my other website about this diet
and my opinion as to whether it works or if it is even worth it. So as a health
coach my job is to understand diet theories and try them if necessary to give
everyone an educated answer!

Day One:

Fruits all day. All you eat is fruit, and try to eat melons as well. 10 cups
of water.

--Sounds easy huh? Fruit is awesome for your body. It provides tons of
vitamins and minerals. Day one is to get your body ready for the week ahead.

I tried this. I had peaches this morning for breakfast. I also had a water
bottle with tons of sliced lemons in it. The water was great. As the day went on
I really wanted to eat a hamburger... and I don't know really why that was
because I don't usually crave hamburgers. For lunch I had a huge... and I mean
HUGE apple. The apple filled me up and I wasn't really hungry for the rest of
the day. I got home from the craft show and my sister was baking lemon chicken-
that was tough. I had a half cup of strawberries to help satisfy the craving. It
is difficult when someone is cooking something you really like but I am pressing
through. Cantaloupe, watermelon, and grapes are in my near future!
