I am one of those people that absolutely HATES harvests going to waste! This year my herbs did especially well and I decided to make sure that I harvest as much as I can- but I want to make sure that I can have some for winter too. So I thought I would share with others how I dry my herbs!!
First I pick the herbs and lay them out on cookie sheets. Turn the oven on 250- once it has preheated- turn it off and place your herbs in the oven.
Then I place a wooden spoon in the door of the oven. You can also use a rolled up towel.
This is during the process-- walk away and wait for the oven to completely cool.
Next- when the oven is cooled the herbs should be crunchy. If they aren't crunchy restart the process.
Last but not lease begin crunching up your herbs and grinding them. I store mine in a mason jar! Good luck! :)
