I have been very busy the past few days, but I will bring you up to speed on my "feel better cleanse". Today marks one week!
Sunday was a great day. I had a banana, coconut milk, and pineapple smoothie! Which was lovely! I spent the day running around grocery shopping in the city-- I learned my lesson! I will not be shopping on Sundays in Virginia Beach & Norfolk again! I will do my shopping Monday mornings when everyone is back at work! I neglected lunch simply because I wasn't too hungry, but I remember eating a no-bake sometime that day before dinner. For dinner my husband and I met up with some friends and had Mexican Gumbo with brown rice & black beans.. no meat for me! I also had a quesadilla with cheese and tomatoes! Yummy! We also splurgged and had frozen yogurt for dessert that night.. BUT instead of loading mine with a bunch of sugary items I topped mine with fruit- and I got the smallest size! I weighed in at 145.8.
Well being a housewife has made me a little different! My days are much different than they ever were. Of course I am still running my business but I am waiting for a few items from my supplier so I can't do much without my supplies!
I got up early this day and didn't feel too well. I had a glass of lemon water and neglected breakfast this day. I went for a jog 2 times this day and started working out again. Abs & Arms! For lunch I had some raw cabbage and tomatoes topped with pink Himalayan sea salt. For dinner I made a whole new recipe and it was fabulous! I made Butternut Squash and Spinach Tortillas with Qunioa Tortillas! You can find the recipe here.
For Tuesday I had some lemon and mint water for breakfast- felt a little nauseated & I woke up later than expected!
My husband got off of work early, so we went to the Farmer's Market in Virginia Beach. We were very pleased! We met a butcher that had organic meats, no hormones or antibiotics given to the animals! They even had a bunch of bones in a freezer to buy for bone broth-- or to give to your dog! My husband made off with some sausages, a roast, and some hamburger. We also found a small grocer who had Amish Butter! I was thrilled to find this out in Virginia!
For lunch I had a HUGE apple. The apple was bigger than my fist and marvelous tasting! I made dinner that was pretty good as well! I made Cajun crusted salmon (baked) with Brussels Sprout Salad. My husband surprising liked it! For dessert I had a chocolate covered marshmallow- I know I failed ! To be honest it made me quite nauseous with all the sugars that were in it! I also made popcorn for a before bed snack, but accidentally added too much sea salt- so we did not each much of it. I did have a big glass of "Orange Kombucha". Kombucha from my own batch here and some orange juice mixed in. It was tangy and sweet all at the same time! Yummy!
