Sometimes we just need to eat something that isn't good for us! Celebration time comes and we just have to enjoy ourselves! It is good to indulge once in a while!!
So tonight I made a blondie -- try this:
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup butter
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 tbsp vanilla extract
Mix the above ingredients well in a standing mixer.
Put them in a 8X8 pan. I lined mine with parchment paper so that I would be able to remove it easily.
Cook at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Test with a knife or tooth pick. Let cool for about 15 minutes
1/2 cup real maple syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
1/4 cup butter
Put the syrup, vanilla, and butter in a pan and make sure the butter is melted.
Add in the brown sugar and dissolve well.
When all is done- cut careful sized Blondies. Ours made 6 blondies. Add a scoop of ice cream (we used bluebell ice cream - no funky ingredients we didn't know). Then pour a bit of the sauce over the top of the ice cream and enjoy!
