Hello everyone! As I have stated before, my husband is in the Navy and we just got his first orders to Norfolk, Virginia! We are very excited about the move, but at first were a little in the dark as for what to expect. We have been told that the military will pay professional movers to come and pack up the house and ship our belongings to whatever state we will be in. In our case, we are buying a house in Virginia that we won't be closing on until at least 5 days after our moving date. So the military is going to pay to put our belongings in a storage unit and then they will move it into our home when we are able to move in.
Well I started looking all over pinterest and the internet to see if I could find some guidance as to what to prepare for. I found some pretty good things such as a binder to hold all important paperwork, here. Also some good discounts to know about, here. I also found a moving checklist, print it here. I have already started the checklist and found it extremely helpful!
I hope this is helpful to everyone else! I am still learning my resources, tips, and tricks to living a military lifestyle! Once I learn more I will share them with everyone!
