![]() So here is a picture of my "main pantry" area. Like most people, I have a pantry that is separate from this that is for if something ever happened, husband lost his job, etc. Kind of like a fail safe. That contains all different types of home canned veggies, freeze dried fruits, spices, noodles, etc. Overall my pantry is pretty darn healthy. I find occassional things in my pantry that make me cringe like "Mrs Buttersworth's Syrup" or random things in the back like cookies. Those my friends, sadly are my husbands. He currently is living on a Navy base doing his basic training and to be honest, I've been wayyy to busy with Healthy by Choice to completely clean everything out yet. But for the most part it is pretty darn healthy. This pantry is the one I eat out of weekly. Top Shelf: -Canned Pumpkin (this is good when making pancakes, post workout muffins, etc) -100% pure organic maple syrup -Wild Rice -Whole Wheat Egg noodles -Brown Rice Second Shelf: -Coconut Milk -Gallon of Olive Oil -PB2 -1 ingredient Peanut Butter -Whole Oats -Raw Almonds -Steel Cut Oats -Instant Breakfast Oatmeal (my recipe) Third Shelf: -Tomatoes -Garbanzo Beans -Dried Goji Berries -Cacao Nibs -Dry Lentils Some other things in the pantry you can't see: -Apple Cider Vinegar -Whole Wheat Tortillas -Whole Grain Tortilla Chips (I usually make my own when I'm not too busy, but this is a very busy week so I had to go with store bought) -Pita Bread (once again store bought I usually make my own) -Naan Bread (store bought) -Garlic -Onions -Fresh Tomatoes -Musk Melon -Homemade Granola **A quick guide to buying "store" items. If you don't have time to make your own breads etc. be sure to read the ingredients on the package. You want to make it a rule that you go by #1- only buying something that has ingredients that you know and understand #2 is whole grain #3 has 3-6 ingredients total not including spices. SALT is not a spice by the way! |
