My Top 6 Summertime Must Haves & Where You Can Get Them!

6/22/2020

Comments

It is Summer!! As a kid, I looked forward to Summer all year long. I loved the warm weather, no school, and running barefoot throughout the neighborhood. I used to get up early, do my chores, and prove they were done-- so I could be off to play with my friends until lunch time.  Now that I am a mom, I still love Summer, although sometimes, I hate getting outside because there are so many things to get done indoors right??

Here is my list of what I love to have on hand & how I help make sure Summer is that magical, wonderful time for my kiddos-- and links to find them!

Splash Pad!

I love letting my boys play in a kiddie pool, but so far this year they have had so much fun playing in the splash pad.. Of course, our puppy has chewed through the pool we had for the boys, so we ended up snagging one of these on amazon. We love it! The kids can run through it, the youngest likes it a whole lot more than the sprinkler.. win win in my opinion! . This is about $20 on amazon & provides tons of fun-- even our dog loves it!

Homemade Popsicle Tubes

I want my kids to have a cold treat but I have one son allergic to red dye 40 and another son that won't eat vegetables unless I hide them in his food.  You can use these to put smoothies, juice, and yogurt in. You don't have to worry yourself about the ingredients that are in your kiddo's treats.

So I bought these silicone Popsicle tubes to pour homemade smoothies in. My go to?

HULK Pops-
Spinach, banana, pineapple, coconut milk, raw honey, collagen peptides.

SPIDERMAN Pops-
Beet, Strawberry, Pineapple, Coconut Milk, Honey, Collagen Peptides.

Cold Brew/Ice Tea Gallon Jar

In the Summer months, I'm not a big fan of hot beverages. But I love Ice Cold Coffee or Tea. In this cold brew container, you can make cold brew coffee or make tea. Super easy, super sturdy, and get this-- it doesn't leak. It's the first container like this we have ever bought that doesn't leak.

Come to our home in the Summer, and you'll always see this jar in my fridge. It either has homemade lemonade, fruit infused water, cold brew coffee, or iced tea in it! Help yourself!

Have you ever made cold brew coffee? It is delicious, lower in acidity (so easier on your stomach and digestion).

Cirkul Flavored Water Bottle

This isn't just a Summer must have, but kinda most of the year. My kids struggle to drink enough fluids in the Summertime, my husband does too. We've had cirkul bottles for about a year and a half now and love the different flavors. They have some that are like electrolytes, some that are just essences, and others that are actual flavorings. You can order here -- let them know I sent you by clicking here & we both get points towards free flavors.

I bought one of these for my niece for Christmas and she is loving how much more water she is drinking overall. So if you struggle with water intake, this might be a great option for you. They even have smaller bottles for the kiddos!

Bose Bluetooth Speaker -- ps it is waterproof

I love this bluetooth speaker. I lost it once when we moved and was devastated for a while. I use it to listen to music while I am pouring candles and making soap. I play praise music on it while I am cleaning the house. I play audible books and have it loud enough for both of my boys to hear while they are playing in the playroom. I can't say enough good about this. While it is about $100, I think it is so worth it. The sound quality is off the charts, you would think you had a huge boombox just sitting next to you but nope tiny speaker. It is perfect for cookouts, the beach, and even at home.

Coconut Hibiscus Shampoo Bar

Of course, I had to throw an HBC product in here, but in all seriousness, I make the Coconut Hibiscus Shampoo Bar specifically for Summertime! Lots of customers have come to me and wanted to change up their hair washing routine and the best time to do that is in the Summer. Your hair is up more often, so if your scalp goes through a detox, no worries! The coconut hibiscus shampoo bar can be used head to toe- so if you're traveling, this is all you need!
