My husband is a fan of "beverages".
To you that might mean- "well duh he doesn't want to be thirsty!". By beverages I mean something other than water haha.
He is a really big fan of Snapple's Peach Tea. I cringe when I buy it for him- believe me. I had this thought while I was pushing the cart around the grocery store, "maybe I could make him a tea that he would enjoy without all these additives!". At first I wasn't sure if he would drink it but I must say my once meat, bread, and cheese eating husband actually eats most vegetables and fruits now! I did some good work in the past 5 years! I mentioned to him about making him some tea and if he would try it and he agreed that it would be cheaper since he goes through a big bottle every 2 days.
So this is the concoction that I came up with and he LOVES it!
1 chai tea bag
2 peachy green tea bags (Tzao)
1 red rose tea bag
1/4-1/2 Cup Honey (depends on preference)
I take the tea bags and but them in the bottom of a 1/2 gallon mason jar. I boil 2-3 cups of water. Pour the water over the tea bags and put the lid on the mason jar. I wait about 1/2 hour-1 hour. I pull out the tea bags and add the honey- taste testing the whole way. Then I put the lid back on and shake and shake and shake until the honey has dissolved- sometimes you need to add more hot water. I add the tea bags and let it sit overnight. The next morning I fill the rest of the mason jar up with water and put it in the fridge! Yummy!
