I remember being 14 and my mom giving me my very first tube of mascara. It was a big day for me, ya know, I got that signature pink and green mascara. I was excited and wore way too much of it, but that was the beginning of my relationship with makeup. Over the years I bought makeup from all different companies, found some I loved and some I didn't. When I learned how to do the smokey eye look, I did it way too often, and I have to laugh and thank my very supportive husband for never telling me I looked ridiculous. As I learned more about the skin and natural health, I began to practice making my own makeup. I used minerals and natural micas. I found some shops online that made makeup as well and it never was the quality I wanted. I loved making my own but I found that it was tough to keep up with. My customers wanted pressed makeup and it was something I struggled to get the right amount of pressure. So, I set it aside and hoped that one day I would be able to provide a healthier, cleaner option for makeup. Time moved along and I quietly stood by, watching my customers ask about more natural makeup. People have been waking up and want a quality makeup that is also healthier for the skin. Some don't want to give up the super-glam look while others just wanted to enhance what they have a bit. I watched, I researched companies- I found a few, and kept pretty quiet. It wasn't until customers began begging me for a mascara that something in me clicked. I looked into making my own but couldn't afford buying 1000 tubes to fill at once- I also thought that would be crazy because what if we didn't sell them all? I ended up finding a company that could manufacture my recipes for me- it was a win-win. So next came the months of education and learning everything there was to know about makeup. I learned about natural and synthetics. I learned why you would want certain ingredients together while others wouldn't last long. I learned about Rosemary Oil being used as a natural preservative. I learned about the amount of pressure that needs to be put into pressed makeup. I learned so much, and I kept it all quiet.. until I was really ready to release. I'm proud to say I was able to create a cosmetics line that is healthier and cleaner for my customers. I am able to appeal to both types of women, those who want to simply gently enhance what they have while being very mindful of what goes on their skin and those who want to have a cleaner makeup but not give up the glam look. I named my cosmetics line Remember Me Cosmetics & I will go into the reasoning behind that name one day when I'm ready. I've had a lot of people ask me, "Why would I want to switch to mineral makeup? What can mineral makeup do for me?" So I put together 7 Reasons to switch to mineral makeup if you haven't already & it might give you some thoughts if you have a child that is getting close to the age where they want to start using makeup- let's keep it healthy for them! 7 Reasons To Switch To Mineral Makeup
